VA vs TriCare confusion

I was medically retired in June at 80% (appealing to 90%). At the time I saw a VA rep whom I remember to be a great help. The problem is, I don’t remember much of the details, only that I agreed to continue care with the VA. My memory is shoddy anymore (the intelligence is there but its a crap shoot on when I can access it smiley: tongue). All I know is that I signed up my family for TriCare Prime (active teens and a spouse w/ bad health) and opted to have care continued at VA.

About the Military

U.S. Military 101 The "Basics" of the United States Military Reserve members fall within one of the four main branches of the military: Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy. Each branch has a group of reserves, but only the Air Force and Army attain a National Guard. In times of conflict and war, the President can call to duty all members of the reserves, but requires state approval for activation of the National Guard.
