Does Tricare Coverage Continue for a Time After Active Duty Service?

I got a letter about Tricare coverage (which I wasn’t aware that I had) ending on January 19 th. I shipped to basic in June and was injured there, came home after my class graduated on my MRD and continued to pay for medical care out of pocket.I am well passed being on active duty status so I don’t understand why I would still have coverage, but if I do have it I would like to use it. Was this some odd mistake?

About the Military

U.S. Military 101 The "Basics" of the United States Military Reserve members fall within one of the four main branches of the military: Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy. Each branch has a group of reserves, but only the Air Force and Army attain a National Guard. In times of conflict and war, the President can call to duty all members of the reserves, but requires state approval for activation of the National Guard.
