To combat stigma and provide health and human services information to veterans and their families.

We envision a society where veterans can seek and achieve optimum mental and physical health through recovery and achieve and sustain a positive way of life through available services after serving their country in peacetime or in wartime.

What We Do

As a 501(c)3 national nonprofit social change advocacy organization, You Are Strong! advocates on behalf of veterans and their families to fight negative stigma associated with seeking help for mental health or physical issues or basic welfare and essential quality of life services.

We aim to facilitate the awareness, education, and access of health and human services for veterans and their families. You Are Strong! researches and coordinates information currently available throughout the country that serves veterans and their families and streamlines that information to make it easily understandable and accessible to them.

About the Military

U.S. Military 101 The "Basics" of the United States Military Reserve members fall within one of the four main branches of the military: Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy. Each branch has a group of reserves, but only the Air Force and Army attain a National Guard. In times of conflict and war, the President can call to duty all members of the reserves, but requires state approval for activation of the National Guard.
